Every year, GM strives to recognize the service of military members, both past and present, by providing them with a variety of resources that they can take advantage of, including jobs and vehicle discount programs. This year, GM decided to expand and enhance its military discount program to include First Responders, recognizing the critical community service First Responders perform day in and day out. First Responders put themselves at risk to help community members in need, and GM would like to thank them for their noble services. The new program includes police, paid and volunteer firefighters, EMT/paramedics, and 911 dispatchers.
Millions of men and women serve their neighbors as police officers, firefighters, emergency medical service professionals and 911 dispatchers, said Steve Hill, who currently serves as the GM vice president of U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing. Not long after the hurricanes of 2017, we started thinking about ways to recognize first responders in a really meaningful way. The team came back and said first responders deserve the same new vehicle discount we offer members of the military because every single person in uniform helps protect us.
The First Responder Discount Program drops GM vehicles MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price), making GM vehicles even more affordable and at the service of the brave men and women that serve us as first responders. The discount applies towards the purchase of many new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles and also applies towards leasing vehicles.
Here at Trent Buick GMC, we couldn’t be prouder to serve those who sacrifice so much for their communities.
